Oxford Police Department issued 20 tickets, investigated 11 wrecks and the following reports:

OPD officers made the following arrest:
1 domestic violence with simple assault
1 DUI, speeding, expired tag, expired driver’s license and no insurance
1 DUI and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department investigated one wreck and the following reports:

2 residential burglaries (CR 429, Hwy 30)
1 death
2 disturbances
2 domestic violence

1 littering/dumping

Deputies Made the following arrests:
1 writ to take into custody
1 possession of a controlled substance
University Police Department investigated two wrecks and investigated one report of harassment.
Officers made the following arrests:
1 public drunk and possession of a fake ID
1 driving while license suspended and speeding
1 possession of alcohol by a person under 21 and possession of drug paraphernalia
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
8:12, 10:26 and 11:56 a.m. and 1:25 p.m. – The Chancellor House Hotel third-floor – a/c unit leaking freon, the fog from the leak was mistaken for smoke
9:57 a.m. – Chancery Building – chest pains – monitored until EMS arrived
11:59 a.m. – Highway 6 west / S. Lamar exit – wreck with injury – provided first aid, stood by for EMS
2:26 p.m. – 2150 West Jackson Ave area – wreck, no injuries
7:29 p.m. – Phillips Grocery – someone pressure washing and the washer fell over spilling gas onto the muffler and catching fire – FD extinguished the fire
9:03 p.m. – Kroger Parking lot – medical call – assisted EMS
