Oxford Police Department issued 32 tickets, investigated nine wrecks and the following reports:

OPD officers made the following arrest:
1 DUI, suspended driver’s license and no headlights
1 littering
1 no driver’s license and no insurance
1 possession of a schedule 1 drug, warrant served, suspended driver’s license and careless driving
1 possession of drug paraphernalia and suspended driver’s license
1 possession of drug paraphernalia and tint violation
2 shopliftings
3 simple assaults
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department investigated one wreck and the following reports:
1 agency assist
1 alarm
1 disturbance
1 domestic violence
1 follow up
1 harassment
1 petit larceny
1 road obstruction
1 scam
4 service calls
1 suspicious activity
1 suspicious person
1 suspicious vehicle
2 traffic complaints
3 papers served
Deputies made the following arrests:
1 writ to take custody
1 contempt warrant
1 possession of paraphernalia, possession of Schedule II narcotics, disorderly conduct
University Police Department investigated two wrecks and one report of a suspicious person and made the following arrests:
1 public drunk and possession of a fake ID
1 driving while license suspended and speeding
1 possession of alcohol by a person under 21 and possession of drug paraphernalia
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
9:19 a.m. – Alpha Phi house – pest control spraying activated a smoke detector
2:31 p.m. – Oxford Elementary – gym pull station fire alarm malfunction
3:18 p.m. – Verizon Flower Bed – shrubs were on fire – extinguished
8:45 p.m.- 33 McLarty Road – possible heart attack – monitored the patient until EMS arrived
