Ole Miss women’s basketball coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin will join the SEC Now set this evening to discuss the Kentucky-NC State Second Round NCAA Tournament game and preview other SEC schools that have moved on to the Sweet 16.
McPhee-McCuin is coming off her first season in Oxford where she helped improve the Rebels conference win total – one of which was over No. 16 Kentucky in Lexington, the first win over a ranked team on the road for Ole Miss since 2011 and the first win overall at Kentucky since 2007. This year she helped mentor Second-Team All-SEC member Crystal Allen, who ended the regular season as the SEC’s third-best scorer (18.3 PPG), the conference’s top free throw shooter (82.9 percent) and the second-best three-point shooter (79 threes made; second most in a single-season in Ole Miss history).
McPhee-McCuin owns a 103-85 career record in six seasons as a head coach. Prior to coming to Ole Miss, McPhee-McCuin turned around the program at Jacksonville in five seasons, leading the Dolphins to three straight 20-win seasons and three postseason appearances during her final three years at JU – including an NCAA Tournament berth in 2016.
SEC Now will air from 8:00-8:30 p.m. the conclusion of Kentucky NC State that tips off at 6 p.m. on ESPN.
