Oxford Police Department issued 38 tickets, investigated eight wrecks and the following reports:

Officers made the following arrests:
1 DUI, careless driving and possession of a schedule 2 drug
1 DUI, speeding, possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle, warrant served, suspended driver’s license, no insurance and expired tag
1 possession of drug paraphernalia, suspended driver’s license and no insurance
1 possession of fake ID and no headlights
1 shoplifting
1 suspended driver’s license, speeding, failure to yield an emergency vehicle and no insurance

Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department investigated one wreck and investigated the following reports:

1 armed robbery (Dollar General Abbeville)

University Police Department investigated the following reports:
1 suspicious person
1 ambulance needed

Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
3:54 p.m. – 611 Commerce Pkwy Bldg. 618 No. 5 – food left unattended on stove activated a smoke detector
4:12 p.m. – Sigma Chi House – someone accidentally activated the basement pull station fire alarm
