4 welfare checks

Officers made the following arrests:
1 public drunk
1 running a red light and possession of drug paraphernalia
1 shoplifting

Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department investigated one wreck, made one arrest for possession of a controlled substance and investigated the following reports:

1 residential burglary (CR 277)
1 juvenile complaint
1 suspicious activity
2 traffic complaints
4 transports
3 summonses served

University Police Department investigated the following reports:
2 ambulance assists
1 intoxicated person
1 suspicious person
1 trespassing

Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
8:06 a.m. – Rockette’s One Stop – cooking fire – grease in the grease trap above the stove
1:35 p.m. – The Flatts Bldg. 9 – testing the alarm system
2:03 p.m. – Waller Funeral Home – call canceled
4:09 p.m. – Sisk Avenue in front of Wendy’s – wreck with one vehicle smoking – no fire
10:17 p.m. – 309 Dogwood – chest pains – monitored until EMS arrived
