Ole Miss Hosts Arkansas Pine-Bluff in Midweek Series Tilt

The Ole Miss Rebels baseball team returns to the diamond this evening to take on Arkansas Pine-Bluff in a pair of midweek slates. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m. on the SEC Network +.
Ole Miss (14-6) steps out of conference action for these two games against the Golden Lions after winning the opening SEC series against the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Senior Ryan Olenek leads the club at the plate with a .403 batting average with 31 base knocks, including six doubles. He also has driven in 10 RBIs on the season.
Arkansas Pine-Bluff rolls into Oxford with a 2-16 mark to the start of the season. The Golden Lions were last swept on the road by Grambling State.
UAPB is led at the plate by redshirt junior Nick Kreutzer with a .361 batting clip that includes six home runs and 20 RBIs.
Coach Mike Bianco will send to the mound two southpaws. Jordan Fowler will go on Tuesday and Zack Phillips will get the nod on Wednesday. Fowler comes in with a 0-0 record and 8.31 ERA with 7 strikeouts and 6 walks allowed. Phillips is 1-1 with a 4.79 ERA. He has retired 18 batters by strikeouts and allowed 12 free passes. The Golden Lions will send to the bump right-hander Daniel Walsh who has a 0-1 record with an 11.91 ERA. Arkansas Pine-Bluff has not selected a hurler for Wednesday.
This week, Ole Miss and UAPB are meeting for the ninth and tenth time in the all-time series. The Rebels are 8-0 against the Golden Lions, coming away with a 10-3 victory last year.
