Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
3/7 – 6:38 a.m. – 1211 Chickasaw – chest pains – monitored patient until EMS arrived
3/7 – 8:25 a.m. – Wilson Art – working on the alarm system caused an activation
3/7 – 4:17 p.m. – Oxford Center for Sober Living – cooking activated a smoke detector
3/8 – 4:35 & 5:49 a.m. – Lyceum – basement elevator mechanical room smoke detector malfunction
3/8 – 10:01 a.m. – Student Union – cleaning a grill activated a heat detector
3/8 – 1:47 1 p.m. – Farley Hall – smell of smoke – was the smell of burned coffee in the coffee pot
3/8 – 2:42 p.m. – 715 South 8th Street – call canceled
3/8 – 6:42 p.m. – Lucky Day Residential College – steam from hot water activated a smoke detector
3/9 – 9:09 a.m. – The Flatts Bldg. 7 – water flow alarm activated by a broken water pipe
3/9 – 5:27 p.m. – Courtyard Marriott East Jackson Ave. – smoke detector in fifth-floor mechanical room malfunction
3/9 – 5:56 p.m. – Hwy. 6 West / West Jackson – caller advised an 18-wheeler was on fire – there was no fire – appeared to be a short in a tail light making it appear to be on fire
3/10 – 3:14 a.m. – 731 Martin Luther King – difficulty breathing – monitored patient until EMS arrived
3/10 – 12:30 p.m. – 107 Warren street – assisted EMS with lifting a patient
3/10 – 3:55 p.m. – Oxford Center for Sober Living – cooking activated a smoke detector
3/10 – 8:03 p.m. – Townhouse Suites by Marriott – cooking activated a smoke detector
3/11 – 2:36 a.m. – 926 Molly Barr Cove No. 1 – difficulty breathing – EMS already on scene
