Democratic presidential hopefuls have been in the process of holding town hall meetings across the United States. From Kamala Harris to Bernie Sanders, Democrats are advocating for their respective platforms in efforts to unseat President Donald J. Trump.
Elizabeth Warren—a Massachusetts senator since 2013—is no different. Warren will make a stop at Jackson State University (JSU) Monday, March 18 for a town hall meeting of her own. The meeting will be a part of her three stops through the South.
Warren is set to visit Memphis on Sunday, March 17 and Alabama (location to be announced) Tuesday, March 19.
The JSU town hall will be moderated by CNN chief Washington correspondent Jake Tapper. The event is slated to begin at 8 p.m.
Warren’s platform covers several issues that include lobbying and criminal justice reform, as well as rebuilding the middle class.
The Massachusetts senator joins several other Democrats seeking the Oval Office, including Harris, Sanders, Sen. Cory Booker and South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg, among many others.
