Oxford Police Department issued 25 tickets, investigated nine wrecks and the following reports:

1 suspicious activity
1 suspicious vehicle

1 welfare check
Officers made the following arrests:
1 DUI, careless driving, speeding and no insurance
1 DUI, possession of a schedule 2 drug and no seat belt
1 DUI, running a red light and possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle
Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department made no arrests and investigated the following reports:

1 commercial burglary (CR 225)
2 civil matters
1 domestic violence
2 informational reports
1 malicious mischief
1 scam
5 service calls
4 transports
1 trespassing
1 vandalism
University Police Department investigated two wrecks and made one arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
5:20 p.m. – Girls and Boys Club – the pull station fire alarm was activated by a basketball hitting it
8:11 p.m. – 3501 South Lamar area – wreck with no injuries
6:39 a.m. – BMH – someone accidentally activated a smoke detector
