The No. 10 Ole Miss Rebels baseball team’s offense power showed up in the 12-6 win over UT Martin on Tuesday night.

Ole Miss (5-2) found themselves in an early 4-0 deficit heading into the bottom of the first. It didn’t take long for the Rebels to respond. Tyler Keenan and Cole Zabowski both hit two-run home runs in the inning to tie the game up.

The Rebels’ starter Jordan Fowler had a rocky outing as he worked 1.2 innings giving up a total of 5 runs (2 earned runs), on 3 hits. Fowler struck out 2 Skyhawks and allowed 3 walks in his outing.

Ryan Olenek had a big night at the ballpark against UT Martin as he went 3-for-4 at the plate with two doubles, a single and a sacrifice fly RBI.

In the ninth inning, Olenek came into pitch and recorded 2 strikeouts to close the game out.

Junior Thomas Dillard added another home run to his total on the year in the third inning. He finished the night with the lone hit going 1-for-4.

UT Martin’s Stoner proved to be a tough out for the Rebels in the game

Sophomore Carl Gindl had a four RBI night at the dish on a single, sac fly and a groundout.

Coach Mike Bianco called on the arms of Connor Green (2.1) who had two scoreless innings and picked up the win; Kaleb Hill, Taylor Broadway, Max Cioffi and Olenek combined only gave up one run over the last seven innings of the game.

Ole Miss welcomes Long Beach State into Oxford this weekend for a three-game series. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m.
