The Ole Miss Rebels baseball team returns to the diamond Tuesday night as they host the UT Martin Skyhawks in midweek action. First pitch is slated for 4 p.m. on the SEC Network +.

Ole Miss returns home after its first road trip of the season to New Orleans to meet the Tulane Green Wave. The Rebels took the series with wins on Friday and Sunday.

Junior Thomas Dillard has opened the season hitting a .412 clip and slugging at a 1.118 percentage. He was named SEC Player of the Week and National Player of the Week by Collegiate Baseball on Monday. He finished the weekend with three home runs and 13 RBIs. On the season, Dillard has a .522 average with four home runs and 15 RBIs.

Dillard ranks in the top 10 nationally in OPS, (3rd), slugging percentage (4th), RBIs per game (4th), home runs per game (6th), home runs (7th), total bases (7th) and RBIs (8th).

The Rebels’ offense has been one of the most powerful groups in the nation thus far, ranking 5th nationally and averaging two home runs per game. Ole Miss is also 17th in the nation in slugging pct. and 23rd in scoring.

UT Martin comes to Oxford with a 3-3 record on the young season after taking the series against North Alabama.

This season, the Skyhawks’ senior outfielder Jordan Stoner leads the team with a .375 batting average, one double and five RBIs.

The probable pitching matchup for this game is UT Martin’s right-hander David Hussey against Ole Miss’ southpaw Jordan Fowler. Fowler is 0-0 on the season with a 6.75 ERA. He has worked 2.2 innings and struck out two batters.

Ole Miss and the Skyhawks are no strangers on the diamond as they have faced one another 18 times prior to tonight’s matchup. In 2016, the Rebels won 8-2.

Fans not able to make it to Swayze can listen to every pitch on the Ole Miss Radio Network or watch the game on SEC Network +.
