UM Athletics Confirms Safeties Coach Jason Jones is Out
Media reports circled early this week that Ole Miss football safeties coach Jason Jones would be leaving the program. Associate Athletic Director Kyle Campbell confirmed to HottyToddy.com that rumor was true.
During Jones’ time in Oxford, he spent five seasons mentoring the cornerbacks. His leadership catapulted the Rebels to the BBVA Compass Bowl, Music City Bowl, Peach Bowl and the Sugar Bowl.
Prior to arriving at Ole Miss, Jones coached at Oklahoma State University after playing at Alabama. Jones was hired by former head coach Hugh Freeze.
As of now, a replacement for Jones has not been named.
Ole Miss begins spring practice Feb. 28 and ends April 6 with the annual Grove Bowl.
