Oxford Police Department issued 46 tickets, investigated six wrecks and the following reports:

1 simple assault
3 suspicious activities
1 suspicious person
3 welfare checks
Officers made the following arrests:
1 possession of drug paraphernalia
1 possession of drug paraphernalia and no seat belt
1 possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle, speeding and K9 search
Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department made no arrests and investigated the following reports:

1 animal complaint
1 disturbance
1 harassment
2 service calls
2 transports
1 follow-up
1 traffic complaint
3 reckless driving
1 civil matter
University Police Department made one arrest for driving while license suspended and speeding, investigated one wreck and the following reports:
1 suspicious person
1 stalking
3 wrecks
2 larceny
1 petty theft
1 ambulance needed
1 intoxicated person
1 suspicious person
UPD made the following arrests:
2 running stop sign and driving while license suspended
1 possession of drug paraphernalia and handicapped parking violation
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
8:13 a.m. – Captain D’s – cleaning the grill activated a smoke detector
8:51 a.m. – 1550 Chickasaw – chest pains – monitored patient until EMS arrived
10:52 a.m. – 297 Hwy. 7 South – medical call – patient was alert upon arrival – monitored until EMS arrived
11:23 a.m. – 1 Dell Drive – housekeeper entered the wrong code and activated the fire alarm
12:21 p.m. – Kappa Alpha house dining room – cooking activated a smoke detector
2:09 p.m. – The Domain Clubhouse – tripped breaker made the water pressure drop activating the water flow alarm
3:05 p.m. – Highway 7 in front of Station 3 – wreck with injuries – provided first aid
4:38 p.m. – Village Walk Apts. – second-floor elevator room smoke detector malfunction
11:13 p.m. – Hwy. 334 / Shelia Drive – subject fell – checked her out and stood by for EMS
