Oxford McDonald’s has a Heart for Oxford Schools
During the month of February, all Oxford McDonald’s locations will donate 50 percent of in-store or drive-thru customer’s McCafé drink sales purchased on Mondays to the Oxford School District Foundation.
“Our kids go to school here and giving back to the community in which we live in has been something that has been instilled in me since I was a child,” said Betsy Smith, owner and operator of both McDonald’s restaurants in Oxford. “We feel very fortunate to be able to give back and serve our community in this way.”
Both stores located on University and Jackson avenues will be participating in McCafé for a Cause every Monday throughout February. Smith’s McDonald’s restaurants just finished doing McCafé for a Cause during January for Lafayette Endowment Fund for Education. Smith’s stores will have completed four cycles of McCafé for a Cause at the end of this month.
“We are grateful to Betsy Smith and McDonald’s for valuing public education and supporting the Oxford School District Foundation,” said Donna Strum, president of the OSDF. “Their generosity makes a big difference for our teachers and students.”
In order to participate in McCafé for a Cause, purchase a McCafé beverage all day every Monday during the month of February. For more information, follow @oxfordschooldistrict on Instagram and like the Oxford School District Foundation page on Facebook.
