LOU Crime & Emergency Reports From Feb. 5, 2019

The following reports were made Feb. 5, 2019, by city and county law enforcement agencies, unless otherwise indicated.

Oxford Police Department issued 54 tickets, investigated seven wrecks and the following reports:
1 911 hang-up
2 alarms
3 ambulance assists
2 careless driving complaints
3 domestic disturbances
2 larcenies
2 motorist assists
1 shoplifting
1 simple assault
3 suspicious activities
2 vehicle searches
3 welfare checks

OPD officers made the following arrest:
1 for possession of a schedule 2 drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while license suspended and tint violation
2 for possession of drug paraphernalia
1 protective order violation
1 for shoplifting, falsifying information and possession of drug paraphernalia
1 suspended driver’s license, speeding, no insurance and no tag
1 trespassing

Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made no arrests, investigated two wrecks and the following reports:
1 simple assault
3 alarms
2 disturbances
1 malicious mischief
3 welfare concerns
1 transport
1 trespassing
1 information
2 follow up
1 reckless driving
2 papers served

University Police Department made one arrest for improper equipment, driving while license suspended and possession of drug paraphernalia and investigated the following reports:
1 cyberstalking
1 wreck
1 false 911 call/fire alarm

Oxford Fire Department reports were unavailable Tuesday.
