Oxford Ranks One of the Best Cities to Live in Mississippi

The city of Oxford was ranked No. 8 out of 10 best cities to live in Mississippi for 2019, according to HomeSnacks.com.
The website analyzed over 70 different cities in the Magnolia State that gauged economic situations, crime rate and activities provided.
Oxford was given a 7.5 out of 10 for “SnackAbility”— the overall score. Its highest scores were commute (10), education (9) and diversity (8.5); however, it ranked lower in the categories of affordability (3), jobs (6) and safety (6).
The top three places to live in Mississippi, according to the website, were Madison, Brandon and Ridgeland, respectfully. Madison scored a 7 or higher in every category.
Petal was ranked the No. 10 spot to live in the analysis. The city received an average of 8 in almost every category.

Not counting the perfect “10” in “commute”, Oxford’s score is 6.4.
That ranks pretty low in the state.
Anyone who lives here can assign their own score in the “commute” category.
