Oxford Police Department issued 46 tickets, investigated five wrecks and the following reports:

OPD officers made the following arrests:
1 DUI, no seat belt, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a stolen firearm
1 possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a schedule 1 drug and possession of a schedule 2 drug
1 public drunk

Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department made no arrests, investigated two wrecks and the following reports:

University Police Department investigated one reports of domestic violence with simple assault

Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
1/14 – 08:13 a.m. – 1012 Molly Barr Road – medical call – subject said he was fine and refused treatment
1/14 – 10:20 a.m. – 632 Piedmont – general fire alarm malfunction
1/14 – 1:43 p.m. – Fred’s – front smoke sensor malfunction
1/14 – 5:11 p.m. – Highway 6 East bridge work close to Ray Parker Truck Stop – workers had an unauthorized fire burning debris
1/15 – 8:02 a.m. – Southern Coop – cleaning the grill activated a kitchen heat detector
1/15 – 8:17 a.m. – Shady Grove Trailer Park No. 5 – behind the stove wires were on fire, resident had the fire out before FD arrived
1/15 – 1:45 p.m. – Student Union – workers activated a smoke detector
1/15- 5:49 p.m. – Pierce Ave. – medical call – provided CPR until EMS arrived
1/16 – 5:56 a.m. – State Veterans Home – call canceled
