Oxford Police Department issued 56 tickets, investigated 19 wrecks and the following reports:

13 alarms
1 burglary
1 disturbing the peace
1 harassing phone call
1 larceny from a vehicle
1 lost property
1 motorist assist
3 petty thefts
2 property damages
1 reported DUI
5 suspicious activities
1 suspicious vehicle
1 trespassing
2 welfare checks
OPD officers made the following arrests:
1 public drunk
1 speeding and driving while license suspended
1 trespassing
1 warrant served
1 warrant served, no driver’s license and no seat belt
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department took one person into custody via Chancery Court writ and investigated the following reports:
2 alarms
1 animal complaint
2 disturbances
1 harassment
1 malicious mischief
1 suspicious activity
1 welfare concern
2 informational reports
1 unauthorized use of vehicle
1 reckless driving complaint
1 civil matter
University Police Department conducted five traffic stops and investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
9:15 a.m. – Price Street area – smell of gas call – nothing found – second call to this area for smell of gas
9:17 a.m. – 109 Red Rose Lane – EMS lift assist
12:32 p.m. – 1509 Jefferson – a tree fell on a powerline – stood by for Oxford Electric
