Oxford Man Charged for Being a Felon With a Gun
The Oxford Police Department arrested an Oxford man recently for allegedly being in possession of a firearm while being a convicted felon.

According to reports, on Dec. 17, OPD officers were conducting a driver’s license checkpoint on College Hill Road when a vehicle, driven by Keyron Pegues, 28, pulled up and informed officers he did not have a valid driver’s license.
Officers asked for consent to search the vehicle which was granted by Pegues. A gun was found inside the vehicle. Being a convicted felon, Pegues was arrested and taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where has booked on a $2,500 bond.
