The Ole Miss women’s basketball team returns to action tonight as they play host to Troy. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m. on the SEC Network +.
Ole Miss (5-7) is coming off a game in which they fought tooth-and-nail with an upstart Louisiana Tech squad until the end, but foul trouble reared its ugly head in an 80-71 loss to the Lady Techsters on Dec. 15.
The Rebels outshot LA Tech 43.4 to 38.7 percent and received three double-digit scoring efforts, but a 35-point performance from Tech’s Kierra Anthony and 55 combined team fouls proved too much to overcome in what was otherwise a back-and-forth affair that featured six lead changes and 12 ties.
Troy rolls into Oxford with a record of 7-2 and they lead the NCAA in rebounds per game (51.1) and offensive rebounds per game (23.0).
As a team, Troy averages 76.6 shot attempts and 25.1 attempts from three per game.
Amber Rivers leads her team on the floor as she averages 12.9 points per game.
Ole Miss leads the all-time series at 2-0. Last season the Rebels won 96-93 in a barn burner.
Fans can watch all the action on the SEC Network + or listen to the call on Ole Miss Radio.
