Ole Miss Rolls Past Chattanooga in the Pavilion

The Ole Miss Rebels basketball team used a second half 28-0 run to pull off a 90-70 victory over the Chattanooga Mocs Sunday night in the Pavilion.
Ole Miss (8-2) is currently riding a five game winning streak behind the play of seniors Terence Davis and Breein Tyree who each scored 20 points. Davis also added team highs in assists (7) and rebounds (5), while Tyree sparked the big run with 18 of his 20 points coming in the second half.
Forward and senior Bruce Stevens added 15 points of his own coming off the bench.
Chattanooga had three players in double figures, including David Jean-Baptiste with 15 points. The Mocs found success from beyond the arc throughout the game, going 11 of 21 (52.4 percent) from long range.
Ole Miss had a 12 point 33-21 lead in the game at the 5:23 mark of the first half before the Mocs went on a 18-4 run to take a 39-37 advantage going into the locker room.
In the first 20 minutes of action both teams shot 59 percent from the field. After the break, the three point shooting contest began as Chattanooga started hot before Davis began the Rebels’ comeback.
Ole Miss returns to action on Friday as they travel to Nashville to take on coach Kermit Davis’s former squad Middle Tennessee at 7 p.m. at the Bridgestone Arena.
