Lady Rebels Travel to Louisiana Tech for Weekend Game

The Ole Miss women’s basketball team travels to Ruston, Louisiana on Saturday to square off against the Louisiana Tech Lady Techsters. Tip-off is slated for 2 p.m. inside the Thomas Assembly Center. The game will air live on C-USA TV.
Ole Miss (5-6) is coming off a 79-57 win over Louisiana. The Rebels shot a season-high 53.3 percent and had all five starters score in double-digits including two double-doubles from Mimi Reid (14 points, 11 assists) and Jhileiya Dunlap (10 points, 12 rebounds).
Coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin’s squad held the Ragin’ Cajuns (2-7) to just 33.8 percent from the field.
Louisiana Tech sits at 6-3 on the season after back-to-back victories over Alabama (79-62) and Southeastern Louisiana (72-53) to open up the month of December.
The Lady Techsters are led on the court by three players who average double figures each game — Kierra Anthony (21.8 ppg), Taylor Stahly (11.2 ppg) and Raizel Guinto (10.0 ppg). The team is scoring on average 74.1 points per game.
Louisiana Tech holds a 5-2 lead in the all-time series against Ole Miss. In the last game the Rebels won 79-68 at home in 2013.
