OPD Arrests 2 For Storage Unit Burglaries

The Oxford Police Department arrested two local men for allegedly breaking into storage units.

According to reports, OPD responded to Southern Storage on Dec. 10 for a suspicious vehicle. Once they arrived they found a truck loaded with plywood and wooden frames. The officers found Joseph Climer and Christopher Mooneyham, both 27 years old and currently residing in Oxford.

The video footage showed both men allegedly removing the wood from a storage unit belonging to management. Climer and Mooneyham were arrested on site then transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center where they each charged with four counts of commercial burglary and booked on $20,000 bonds.

Additional storage units and victims were identified after their arrest.
