Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department investigated five wrecks and the following reports:

Deputies made the following arrests:
1 driving under the influence and possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle

1 1 domestic violence and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

1 hold for Metro Narcotics
University Police Department officers three wrecks and the following reports:

1 careless driving
2 EMS due to intoxicated person

1 accidental property damage

1 public drunk and fake ID
UPD officers made the following arrests:
1 possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding

Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
11/30 – 10:03 – SWM Factory – call canceled
11/30 – 1:07 p.m. – Hwy 7 South – wreck with entrapment call – no extrication all parties were out of the vehicles upon arrival
11/30 – 3:42 p.m. – Anchorage Road – three-car wreck – no injuries
11/30 – 5:06 p.m.- Chi Psi house – vacuuming sheetrock dust activated a smoke detector
11/30 – 5:22 p.m.- Hwy 7 south at CR 401 – wreck with injuries – check patients out and stood by for EMS
11/30 – 6:52 p.m.- Townhouse Suites by Marriott – candle on a cake activated a smoke detector
11/30 – 7:34 p.m.- College Hill Road Ext. – wreck with injury – car ran off the road and knocked down a power pole – stood by for Oxford Elec.
11/30 – 7:45 p.m. – Hwy 6 between Chucky Mullins and Jackson Avenue – wreck with no injuries
11/30 – 8:31 p.m. – 3715 Lyles Drive – call canceled
11/30 – 11:03 p.m.- Kappa Kappa Gamma house – call canceled
12/01 – 12:37 p.m.- Marin Hall room 215 – burned popcorn activated the smoke detector
12/01 – 12:59 p.m.– Highway 6 eastbound – wreck with the driver running in the median taking down about 100 yards of that barrier – no injury
12/01 – 2:38 p.m. Highway 7 and 6 – wreck with injuries – checked patients and stood by for EMS
12/01 – 5:13 p.m. – South Oxford Center (old BMH) – parking garage smoke detector malfunction
12/02 – 01:28 a.m. – Phi Kappa Psi house room 202 – smoking activated the smoke detector
12/02 – 11:28 a.m. – Hwy 6 at Thacker Loop – wreck with injuries – assisted EMS with patient care
12/02 – 3:33 p.m. – Oxford Health and Rehab – burned popcorn in a microwave activated a smoke detector
