Oxford Crime and Fire Reports for Nov. 26, 2018
The following reports were made Nov. 26, 2018, by city and county law enforcement agencies, unless otherwise indicated.
Oxford Police Department issued nine tickets, made no arrests, investigated six wrecks and the following reports:

5 alarms
2 ambulance assists
1 careless driving
2 disturbing the peace complaints
2 fire department assists
1 K9 search
3 motorist assists
1 scam
3 suspicious activities
1 suspicious vehicle
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made one arrest for reckless driving, no insurance and driving on the wrong side of the road and investigated the following reports:
1 alarm
4 animal complaints
1 disturbance
1 grand larceny
2 harassments
3 juvenile complaints
7 service calls
5 suspicious activity/persons
2 welfare concerns
University Police Department made no arrests, investigated one wreck and the following reports:
1 fake ID
1 ambulance needed
1 credit card fraud
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
1:29 p.m. – ATO house – workers activated a duct detector
1:55 p.m. – Gus’s – employee’s had the alarm reset before arrival
4:40 p.m. – West Jackson Avenue at Country Club – wreck with one injury
6:11 p.m. Thacker Loop at Hwy. 6 – vehicle fire fully involved – FD extinguished the fire
6:59 p.m. – 204 Garner St. – all smoke detectors malfunctioning
