McGriff Not Returning to Ole Miss Football Staff

“I want to thank Wesley for his hard work and dedication to Ole Miss,” Luke said. “Despite the challenges his unit faced this season, we can be better on that side of the ball, and I determined new leadership is needed.”
A 29-year coaching veteran, McGriff spent the past two seasons as the Rebels’ defensive coordinator. It marked his second stint in Oxford after serving as co-DC/cornerbacks coach in 2012.

If you want Luke fired I have a few questions for you… A) do you write checks to the UMAA? It costs money to fire Coaches (and it pollutes the hiring process) B) Just what were the expectations with just 62 scholarships…open transfer…a Bowl Ban… C) Who do you suppose would have won at Ole Miss this year?…pick somebody, and then pick the OC & DC…Saban, okay, and what would the record have been? The fact is that the NCAA & SEC gave Ole Miss no chance to actually win. Blaming Luke is a weak conclusion- and running him off based on this season then bringing somebody in and saying “it will take at least three years…his own guys…the cupboard was bare…instill discipline…
