The Ole Miss women’s basketball team returns to action Wednesday, Nov. 14 as they host the Temple Owls inside the Pavilion. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. on the SEC Network +.
Ole Miss (1,1) is looking to bounce back from a 66-58 loss at home to IUPUI on Friday night. The Rebels were led on the floor in scoring by redshirt senior Crystal Allen with 21 points. Her teammate Shandricka Sessom posted 11 in the game.
“Crystal is going to give 110 percent when she is out there,” Ole Miss head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin said.
In the second half of the game, IUPUI picked up the win off the hands of Macee Williams (23 points, 12 rebounds) and Sydney Hall (17 points).
Temple rolls into Oxford on a two-game win streak after defeating Delaware State and Saint Joesph’s. Last year, the Owls finished 12-19 with a 3-13 record in the American Conference.
Head Coach Tonya Cardoza returns eight letter winners and three starters to this year’s squad.
Sophomore forward Mia Davis leads her team in points and rebounds averaging 16.5 and 8.5 respectively each night on the court. Graduate student Alliya Butts is adding 15 points of her own in a game.
The Rebels and the Owls have met on the hardwood four times prior to this matchup, with Ole Miss leading the all-time series at 3-1. Last season, Ole Miss traveled to Philadelphia to defeat Temple 64-48.
Fans can watch all the action on the SEC Network or listen to the call on the Ole Miss Radio Network.
