The following reports were made Nov. 8, 2018, by city, university and county law enforcement agencies.
Oxford Police Department issued 32 tickets, investigated six wrecks and the following reports:

1 abandoned vehicle
4 alarms
5 ambulance assists
2 animal complaints
1 begging
3 code enforcement violations
1 disturbing the peace
2 domestic disturbances
2 fire department assists
3 larcenies
3 malicious mischief complaints
2 phone harassments
5 suspicious activities
1 suspicious person
1 suspicious vehicle
1 welfare check
OPD officers made the following arrests:
1 DUI
1 DUI, expired tag and no insurance
1 DUI, minor in possession of alcohol and fake ID
2 possession of a schedule 2 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia
1 warrant served and no tag
Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department served one writ to take into custody, investigated two wrecks and the following reports:
2 alarms
3 animal complaints
1 petty theft
2 service calls
3 suspicious activities
1 transport
1 trespassing
2 civil matters
University Police Department investigated five wrecks and the following reports:
3 ambulance assists
1 disturbance
1 computer crime
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
6:43 p.m. – South Residential College – steam from boiling water activated a kitchen smoke detector
7 p.m.- 405 Van Buren Ave. – bad Carbon Monoxide detector
12:42 p.m. – North Lamar First National Bank – alarm call was unfounded – no audible alarm activated
1:51 this morning – Walnut Hills Bldg. 2 – man having chest pains – EMS arrived before FD did anything
