Palmer Home for Children to Host Third ‘Tailgate for Palmer’

Palmer Home invites the members of the Oxford and Ole Miss community to the 3rd Annual Tailgate for Palmer Saturday, Oct. 27, from 7-11 p.m., in the Olivia and Archie Manning Athletics Performance Center on the University of Mississippi campus.

Attendees will enjoy an evening of football, food, a performance by Palmer Home for Children’s choir, the Treblemakers, a premier silent auction, as well as an opportunity to learn more about Palmer Home for Children.

“We have high hopes of raising both awareness and support for Palmer Home’s mission than ever before,” said Sarah Hollis, vice president of engagement. “Our organization receives no form of government support, so events like Tailgate for Palmer are a vital part of making our mission a reality. This event helps us raise the necessary funds to provide for the children in our care, and it gives us the chance to give back to our sponsors and the people who faithfully support our organization and our children.”

Attendees can expect an exclusive watch party experience amplifying the best of Ole Miss tailgating—football, food, libations, and friends. General admission tickets are on sale for $75 per person. Additionally, tent sponsorships featuring a reserved tailgate tent with eight tickets are available. All proceeds benefit the mission of Palmer Home for Children.

“It takes a community to support these children,” Hollis said. “By attending this event, you’re helping to raise these children – and it’s such a fun evening. The volunteers are working hard to make this event a big success.”

The mission of Palmer Home for Children is to provide superior care for children that introduces the love of God through service. Palmer Home currently cares for over 100 children from birth through college age and serves individual children as well as sibling groups. These services are provided without charge to children or their families regardless of race or creed.
