Oxford Police Department issued eight tickets, investigated four wrecks and the following reports:

OPD officers made the following arrests:
1 DUI-second, careless driving, running a red light, no insurance and improper display of tag
1 possession of a schedule 1 drug
1 possession of a schedule 2 drug
1 possession of a drug paraphernalia
1 public drunk
3 public drunk and fake ID
1 shoplifting
Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department made no arrests, investigated one wreck and the following reports:
1 alarm
1 animal complaint
2 disturbances
1 juvenile complaint
1 service call
2 suspicious activities
7 transports
2 informational reports
1 civil matter
1 noise complaint
University Police Department investigated one wreck and one disorderly conduct report.
Oxford Fire Department reports were unavailable Tuesday,
9:23 a.m. – 214 Shelley Cove – smoke detector malfunction
1:08 p.m. – Endoscopy Center of N. MS – grinding concrete activated a smoke detector
5:47 p.m. – 800 Park Bldg. 3 – elevator smoke detector malfunction
9:30 p.m. – 1802 West Jackson Ave. No. 24 – resident fell through the attic floor and broke his leg – splinted and stood by for EMS
2:20 – p.m. – 600 Shadow Creek Apt. 201 – water leaking into a smoke detector
