Texan Band ‘White Denim’ Set to Take the Stage at Proud Larry’s
White Denim, an Austin, Texas-based band, is set to perform their latest album, “Performance,” Thursday, Oct. 18, with special guest Rotem at Proud Larry’s.
The band’s newest album, which hit the No. 1 spot on the FMQB Alt Specialty Submodern chart, landed the Texans a guest slot on TBS’ Conan talk show.
The album was recorded over eight weeks between October 2016 and October 2017, mainly in Radio Milk—White Denim’s new studio in downtown Austin—and self-produced by the band, with Jim Vollentine.
Singles “It Might Get Dark” & “Magazin” are climbing the charts at AAA, non-comm, and college, including support from KCRW, KEXP, WXPN, KUTX, OpenAir, and many more.
The album’s lead single “Magazin” was picked up by BBC 6 Music A-list and other outlets including Gorilla vs. Bear, Brooklyn Vegan, The 405, and more. Fiery track “It Might Get Dark” (also on the BBC 6 A-list) and the wonderfully weird video for “Fine Slime” followed.
General admission tickets for the show are $12 and can be purchased through TicketFly.
