OPD made the following arrests:
2 for public drunk

1 for shoplifting and simple assault

Lafayette Sheriff’s Department investigated one wreck and the following reports:

1 domestic violence
1 petty theft
2 service calls
2 suspicious activities
2 vandalisms
1 welfare concern

1 trespassing

2 follow-ups

Deputies made the following arrests:
1 disorderly conduct
1 domestic violence, simple assault

University Police Department officers made one arrest for simple assault, investigated one wreck and the following reports:
1 ambulance assist
1 disturbance

Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
9:21 a.m. & 7:17 p.m. – 800 Park (800 College Hill Road) – elevator smoke detector malfunction
4:13 p.m. – 1412 East Jackson Ave. – cooking activated a smoke detector
6:30 p.m. – 1100 Augusta Drive – smell of gas – no leak – the vent on the gas meter was doing it’s job relieving pressure
6:39 p.m – 1106 South Lamar – cooking activated a smoke detector
7:08 p.m. – Chi Omega house – cooking activated a smoke detector
9:15 p.m.- Office Park Drive at Professional Drive – a light in the flower bed caught the pine straw on fire
9:43 p.m. – The Graduate lounge – smoke from a candle activated the smoke detector
