Ole Miss senior quarterback Jordan Ta’amu’s orchestrated performance in the 37-33 win over Arkansas Saturday night landed him as the Southeastern Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week. The SEC the league office announced the news Monday.
Ta’amu accounted for 528 total yards and engineered a 97-yard drive with 2:02 remaining in the game that helped Ole Miss pick up its fifth win of the season.
Ta’amu, who was also named one of eight Manning Award Stars of the Week, finished the game 26-of-35 for 387 yards with two TDs through the air. Ta’amu also rushed for a career-high 141 yards. He finished just 37 yards shy of the single-game rushing record by Rebel quarterback Eli Manning. Ta’amu has tallied at least one rushing TD in three of the last four games.
The Hawaii native currently sits at 10th all-time in career passing yards for the red and blue with 3,980 yards.
On Saturday the Rebels take the gridiron against Auburn. Kickoff is slated for 11 a.m. on ESPN.
