Oxford Police Department issued 31 tickets, investigated nine wrecks and the following reports:

8 disturbing the peace
1 false pretense
3 improper parking
2 larceny
2 lost properties
1 suspicious activity
1 suspicious person
3 welfare check
OPD officers made the following arrests:
1 DUI, tint violation and minor in possession of alcohol
1 public drunkenness
1 warrant served
Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department made no arrests and investigated the following reports:
1 alarm
1 disturbance
1 petit larceny
5 suspicious activities
3 welfare concerns
1 scam
2 transports
1 follow up
1 reckless driving
2 ambulance assist
16 civil process served
University Police Department investigated four wrecks and the following reports:
1 intoxicated person
1 simple assault
UPD officers made one arrest for public drunkenness.
Oxford Fire Department reports were unavailable Tuesday,
7:50 a.m. – Pi Kappa Alpha – smoking activated a smoke detector
8:12 a.m. – Old Baptist Hospital – sanding sheetrock activated a smoke detector
5:03 p.m. – ATO house – smoke detector malfunction
7:05 p.m. – Hwy 6 / Thacker Loop area – wreck – provided 1st aid for one patient stood by for EMS
9:39 p.m. – Deaton Hall – people stuck on an elevator – they were already out before FD arrived
