Homecoming Parade, Pep Rally Slated for Friday Evening

This year’s Homecoming Parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. starting from the Circle on the University of Mississippi campus and ending at the Square in downtown Oxford.
The parade will travel from the Circle down University Avenue to South Lamar Boulevard and around the Square to North Lamar Boulevard.
A pep rally will follow featuring the Ole Miss Rebels and cheerleaders, the Rebelettes and the Pride of the South marching band.
The Oxford Police Department said the parade will take about an hour and traffic will be disrupted along the route. Those people who are not coming to watch the parade or pep rally should take an alternate route and avoid driving on the Square during the event.
