LC Sheriff’s Department arrests 1 for burglary
The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department arrested a man in connection with a burglary in the county that occurred over the weekend.

According to reports, investigators responded to the 600 block of County Road 103 for a report of a burglary. Several items were stolen from the home, including televisions, clothes and several other household items.
After an investigation, it was determined Joey Chamness, 37, broke into the home and allegedly stole the items.
He was taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he’s being held on no bond pending a first appearance hearing.
More arrests could be pending a completed investigation, according to the LCSD.
