Oxford Police Department issued 52 tickets, investigated 17 wrecks and the following reports:

OPD officers made the following arrests:
3 DUI and careless driving
1 DUI, minor in possession and careless driving
1 DUI-second, careless driving and driving while license suspended

1 minor in possession of alcohol and careless driving
1 possession of marijuana in a vehicle, no insurance and speeding
1 possession of drug paraphernalia
4 public drunks
1 shoplifting
5 simple assaults
Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department investigated one wreck and the following reports:
2 alarms
1 residential burglary (CR 103)
6 noise disturbances
2 domestic violence complaints
3 petty thefts
2 juvenile complaints
15 service calls
2 suspicious activities
5 welfare concerns
1 transport
1 trespassing
3 informational reports
2 follow-ups
1 traffic complaint
2 reckless drivings

7 civil matters
University Police Department investigated five wrecks and the following reports:
2 ambulances
5 suspicious people
1 petty theft and credit card fraud
1 grand theft
1 suspicious vehicle
1 intoxicated person
UPD officers made the following arrests:
2 for possession of drug paraphernalia and fake ID
1 possession of drug paraphernalia
1 simple assault and disorderly conduct
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
9/28 – 9:59 a.m. – BMH – someone stuck on an elevator
9/28 – 3 p.m. – N. 9th Street area – wreck with one injury – provided 1st aid and stood by for EMS
9/28 – 4:54 p.m. – Oxford Conference Center – workers accidentally bumped a fire alarm pull station
9/28 – 8:16 p.m.- College Hill / Country Club – gas substation has a strong smell of gas and a hissing sound
9/28 – 9:39 p.m.- Haven House – smell of gas – nothing was found
9/28 – 10:06 p.m.- 960 Molly Barr Road. – medical call for trouble breathing – monitored patient until EMS arrived
9/29 – 2:15 a.m. – 913 South 18th Ext. – medical call – EMS already on scene
9/29 – 6:28 a.m. – 1000 Archive Drive. – smoke detector malfunction
9/29 – 10:45 a.m. – Turnberry Condos – person stuck on the elevator
9/29 – 2:51 p.m. – 800 College Hill Road – Bldg. 3 elevator smoke detector malfunction
9/29 – 4:25 p.m.- Deaton Hall – workers activated the basement elevator pit smoke detector
9/29 – 9:04 p.m. – 1604 Broom Loop (Brittany Woods; new annexed area) – A/C unit was smoking
9/30 – 10:06 a.m. – 1613 Garfield – cooking activated a smoke detector
9/30 – 12:18 – p.m. Brown Hall No. 159 – burned food in microwave
9/30 – 1:11 p.m. – 112 S. 17th Street – smell of gas inside the house – no gas smell found
9/30 – 2:51 p.m. – North Residential Hall – kitchen – cooking forgot to turn the vent – a- hood on
9/30 – 6:12 – Pi Kappa Phi house – 2nd floor hallway smoke detector malfunction
