An Oxford man was arrested recently for allegedly molesting a juvenile.
According to reports, on Aug. 29, officers and investigators with the Oxford Police Department responded to the emergency room at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi for a reported sexual battery of a juvenile.
Upon the conclusion of the investigation Michael Clayton, 35 of Oxford, was identified as the suspect.
On Sept. 18, forensic evidence came back and Clayton was charged with touching of a minor for lustful purposes. He was already at the Lafayette County Detention Center on an unrelated charge. He was given a bond of $5,000 by a Justice Court Judge.
