Northwest Mississippi Community College freshman Tim Houston has been selected as the MACJC Men’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week, the league announced Tuesday morning.
A native of Cordova, Tenn., Houston totaled 14 saves against 17 shots on goal with three goals allowed in 153 minutes of action, which included a 3-1 loss to Hinds and an impressive 7-1 victory against Holmes.
Houston leads the MACJC with 61 saves and ranks fifth nationally in that category.
Northwest (2-6, 1-3 north division) will travel to Meridian on Saturday, Sept. 22 to take on Oxford-Emory in a neutral site match. Live stats will be available through nwccrangers.com.
