OPD made the following arrests:
1 for carrying a concealed weapon and no seat belt
3 defrauding an innkeeper
1 DUI and careless driving
1 DUI, careless driving and no insurance
1 DUI and running a stop sign
2 DUI and speeding
1 fake ID
1 false pretense
7 for minor in possession of alcohol
6 for minor in possession of alcohol and fake Ids
1 no driver’s license
3 open containers
14 public drunks
2 public drunk and fake ID
1 shoplifting
1 simple assault and disorderly conduct
2 warrants served
1 warrant served and possession of drug paraphernalia

Lafayette Sheriff’s Department investigated four wrecks and the following reports:
1 simple assault
5 alarms
4 animal complaints
3 residential burglaries
7 disturbances
2 petty thefts
1 harassment
1 malicious mischief
12 service calls
2 suspicious activities
2 welfare concerns
2 transports
2 trespassing complaints
1 traffic complaint
2 reckless driving complaints
4 civil matters

Deputies made the following arrests:
1 domestic violence with simple assault
1 MDOC warrant
1 domestic warrant, domestic violence, aggravated
1 DUI 3rd, possession of paraphernalia, no driver’s license
1 possession of paraphernalia
1 writ to take custody

University Police Department investigated six wrecks and the following reports:
4 simple assaults
3 larceny
2 sexual battery
3 suspicious person
3 disturbances
2 possessions of drug paraphernalia
3 loud music
possession of alcohol under 21
6 intoxicated people
8 ambulance assists

3 fights
2 loud music complaints

2 EMS due to an intoxicated person

UPD made the following arrests:
3 for public drunkenness
1 public drunk and disorderly conduct

Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
9/7 – 14:17 – 915 Buchanan – call canceled
9/7 – 16:57 – Sonic – male with trouble breathing – monitored vitals until EMS arrived
9/8 – 01:28 – Tri Delta house – shower steam activated a smoke detector
9/8 – 01:34 – North MS Regional Center – a light ballast going bad
9/8 – 09:52 – 1507 White Oak Lane – male with chest pains – stood by for EMS
9/8 – 12:59 – Tri Delta House – smoke detector malfunction
9/8 – 18:01 – Oxford Grill House – smoke from the grill activated a smoke detector
9/8 – 19:01 – 208 Parkway Loop – resident wanted the FD to make sure her CO detector was working and checked the house for gas
9/8 – 19:21 – West Jackson Ave in from of Wingstop – wreck – had one person with neck pain
9/9 – 18:24 – State Veterans Home – resident pulled a fire alarm
9/9 – 20:20 – 8000 Archive – fire alarm malfunction – maintenance said they have been having issues with the system
