University Police Department investigated two wrecks and responded to one medical call.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
At 7:50 a.m. to Townhouse Suites by Marriott Room 420 – hot shower steam activated the smoke detector
At 12:53 p.m. to 711 South 11th – dust from workers sanding activated a smoke detector
At 1:13 p.m. to 1111 Jackson Ave. West – workers activated a smoke detector
At 3:41 p.m. to Highway 6 east / South Lamar – wreck with extrication call – no extrication – provided 1st aid until EMS arrived
At 3:57 p.m. to Campus Walk – call canceled
At 4:52 p.m. to Rooster’s – cook forgot to turn Vent-a-hood on causing a smoke detector activation
At 9:17 p.m. to CB Webb 960 Apt 2 – trouble breathing – provided oxygen until EMS arrived
