Byhalia High Football Player Dies After Game
A Byhalia High School football player died Friday night after a football game, according to the BHS’s Facebook page.
Dennis Mitchell, a sophomore, collapsed on the field and was taken to the hospital where he died after suffering from cardiac arrest and a seizure.
BHS released the following statement:
“Our BHS family mourns the loss of Dennis Mitchell, a beloved student-athlete who collapsed on the field during Friday night’s game at Coahoma. Please keep his family, our coaches, the team, students, administrators, faculty, and staff in your thoughts and prayers.”
