Oxford Police Department issued 31 tickets, investigated eight wrecks and the following reports:

1 animal complaint
2 careless drivers
1 civil matter
1 code enforcement officer
5 disturbing the peace complaints
1 improper parking complaint
1 other agency assist
1 property damage
1 recovered property
1 residential burglary
4 suspicious activities
1 theft from a motor vehicle
1 vehicle search
1 welfare check
OPD made the following arrests:
1 for DUI, no tag and no insurance
1 for DUI, speeding, expired tag and suspended driver’s license
1 for furnishing beer/wine to a person under 21
1 littering
1 malicious mischief
1 open container
1 public drunk and fake ID
1 warrant served
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made no arrests and investigated the following reports:
3 alarms
1 animal complaint
1 grand larceny
2 harassment
1 juvenile complaint
1 service call
3 suspicious activities
3 welfare concerns
4 transports
2 information
1 follow up
3 reckless driving
2 civil matters
1 assistance call
7 papers served
University Police Department conducted 12 traffic stops, investigated four wrecks and the following reports:
1 loud music
1 vandalism
1 stolen vehicle, recovered
1 harassment
1 larceny
1 medical call
Oxford Fire Department reports were unavailable Thursday.
At 3:03 p.m. – Baptist Hospital for a smoke detector malfunction
At 3:59 this morning – Sigma Nu house room 204 after air freshener activated the smoke detector
