The Oxford Police Department arrested an Oxford woman who allegedly used a credit card belonging to someone else to pay for an extended say at a local hotel.
According to OPD, on Tuesday, investigators took a credit card fraud report claiming that someone had fraudulently charged $2,186 for a hotel room.
Through the course of the investigation, OPD determined that Hannah Russell, 23, of Oxford used the card to pay for the hotel room and an arrest warrant was issued. Russell was arrested Wednesday at the same hotel and taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where she was charged with credit card fraud and booked on a $10,000 bond.
