Officers made arrests on the following charges:
1 DUI and careless driving
1 DUI, failure to dim headlights and possession of drug paraphernalia
Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department investigated one wreck and the following reports:
1 simple assault

1 auto burglary
1 petty theft
2 harassments

2 suspicious activities

1 follow-up
1 traffic complaint

4 reckless drivings

Deputies made one arrest for burglary.
University Police Department conducted five traffic stops and issued one citation for failure to wear a seat belt.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
At 8:45 a.m. To Vaughn Circle for a gas leak after workers hit a gas meter; stopped the leak and waited on the gas company
At 11:39 a.m. To Merchants Drive after workers hit a gas line; turned scene over to the gas company
At 11:41 a.m. To 310 Windsor Drive for a dryer fire after a rodent stockpiled dog food in the dryer around the heating element and caught fire
At 1:31 this morning to The Chancellor House for the report of a smell of gas after the pilot light went out in the lobby fireplace
