The start of Southeastern Conference media days usually means the unofficial start to the upcoming season. This year’s 2018 SEC Media Days will take place July 16-19 in Atlanta.

New Ole Miss head coach Matt Luke and players will join the media on day two of the event alongside the Georgia Bulldogs, Arkansas Razorbacks and Florida Gators.
Coach Luke will bring three players with him to Atlanta—junior defensive tackle Josiah Coatney, senior center Sean Rawlings and senior quarterback Jordan Ta’amu—to represent the university.
Luke is entering his first season as head coach after being the interim last season. He guided the Rebels to a 6-6 mark and a 31-28 victory in the Egg Bowl over Mississippi State.
Coatney played in all 12 games last season, as he recorded 24 solo tackles and assisted on 41 for the Landshark defense. Rawlings has been an anchor on the offensive line for the Rebels during his tenure on campus. Ta’amu came onto the scene last year after former quarterback Shea Patterson went down against LSU. He played in eight games and passed for a total of 1,682 yards with 11 touchdowns.
The Rebels will take the podium July 17 at around 11:20 a.m. on the SEC Network.
Ole Miss opens the 2018 season Sept. 1 against Texas Tech in Houston.
