Oxford Crime Reports For June 27, 2018
The following reports were made Wednesday, June 27, by city and county law enforcement agencies.
Oxford Police Department investigated three wrecks, issued 29 tickets and responded to the following calls:
1 911 hang-up
4 alarms
1 ambulance assist
1 careless driving
2 civil matters
1 disturbing the peace
1 joyriding
1 K9 search
2 lost property
1 motor assist
1 open door
1 suspicious person
1 vehicle search
1 welfare check
OPD made the following arrests:
1 for possession of a scheduled 1 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia
1 for DUI and careless driving
1 DUI and speeding
1 warrant served, no driver’s license, no insurance and no seat belt
2 for shoplifting
1 possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department investigated one wreck and the following reports:
1 residential burglary on Highway 314
2 disturbances
1 domestic violence
1 harassment
1 service call
5 welfare checks
1 scam
2 transports
1 informational report
2 reckless driving complaints
4 assists
1 papers served
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department reported two arrests:
1 for chancery writ
1 domestic violence with simple assault
University Police Department investigated a report of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Oxford Fire Department responded at 11:52 a.m. to West Jackson Avenue after a person fell off his bike and provided first aid.
