Batesville Man Charged With Felony Shoplifting

The Oxford Police Department arrested a Batesville man for allegedly stealing almost $1,200 worth of items from the Oxford Walmart.

According to reports, on April 24, the Oxford Walmart filed a report that two men left the store with $1,192 worth of merchandise without paying.
On Friday, June, 22, OPD picked up Dekedris McMillan, 23, of Batesville on a felony shoplifting warrant from the Batesville Police Department.
McMillian was identified from surveillance cameras as one of the two men who walked out of the Oxford Walmart and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
McMillian was transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center and given a bond of $1,500 by a Justice Court Judge.
