Oxford Police Department investigated two wrecks, issued 28 tickets and responded to the following calls:

2 careless driving complaints
1 disturbing the peace
2 false pretense
1 fire department assist
2 improper parking complaints
2 K9 searches
2 petty thefts
1 scam
3 suspicious activities
1 suspicious person
1 suspicious vehicle
2 utility calls
1 vehicle search
2 welfare checks
OPD made the following arrests:
1 DUI and careless driving
1 DUI and no driver’s license
1 DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia, no headlights and no insurance
1 DUI and speeding
1 possession of a schedule 1 drug
1 possession of a schedule 1 drug and improper turn
1 simple assault and warrant served
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department investigated one wreck and the following reports:
6 alarms
2 disturbances
1 malicious mischief
2 service calls
2 welfare checks
2 transports
3 informational report
1 court detail
1 road obstruction
1 civil matter
1 assistance call
15 weather-related calls
5 papers served
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made the following arrests:
1 dog stealing
1 sale of a controlled substance warrant
University Police Department responded to two wrecks, conducted two traffic stops and performed one traffic detail
Oxford Fire Department responded at 8:11 a.m. to Chi Omega for an alarm; at 11:03 to Swayze Field after construction workers set off an alarm; at 8:37 p.m. to Burger King for someone having a seizure; at 9:21 p.m. to 106 Morgan Lane for a medical call; and at 2:41 a.m. Friday to The Flatts for a smoke detector malfunction
