Ole Miss soccer head coach Matt Mott announced Friday the Rebels’ schedule for the 2018 season.
“Our schedule is as challenging as we have had in my time here,” said Mott. “Our non-conference slate has a number of NCAA tournament-caliber teams that will help prepare us for the daunting SEC schedule. We are looking forward to getting started this fall.”
Twenty matchups total were announced, including one exhibition. The Rebels will take the field nine times at the Ole Miss Soccer Stadium.
Ole Miss will take field Aug. 10 in an exhibition against Central Arkansas in Oxford. The Rebels will play host to the Ragin’ Cajuns of Louisiana to kick off the regular season on Aug. 17 and two days later Western Kentucky University will roll into town.
The first true road test will be against Minnesota in Minneapolis on Aug. 24.
Coach Mott’s club looks to build off the success from the 2017 season where Ole Miss received a bid to the NCAA Tournament for the third time in five years. The Rebels turn a huge portion of its offense from last season, including 50-of-54 goals and 38-of-42 assists.
